History

The creation of "Faturan" is thought to have originated by a chemist. He melted the remaining filings after carving the beads from the amber and mixing these remnants with other natural resins, such as mastika, frankincense, colofoni, and turpentine, to form individual beads from natural ingredients. Unfortunately, the original formula is long gone.

"Bakelite" and "Parkesine" are synthetic resins named after their inventory. Thus "Faturan", named after its original inventor, became a resin brand thermosetting phenol formaldehyde, similar to Bakelite and Catalin, produced by Traun & amp; Son of Hamburg., Developed in the early 20th century, and produced until the 1940s.

In the bead trade

In the bead trade, "Faturan" is considered a mixture of natural amber shavings with other ingredients, and is described to have been found in the Middle East in the 18th or 19th century, however, there are some disputes regarding this in commerce.

Komboloi Museum, Nafplio, Greece confirmed that a Kuwaiti chemist named Arabic Esmaeel Almail Faturan first made the beads from amber fillings mixed with other natural resins, rather than synthetic, long before the famous synthetic resins were mass-produced. The National Museum of History, Athens, has been displayed komboloi made from Faturan originating from 1821.

"Faturan" became a protected brand name from a German company that produces synthetic resin in the form of sticks to make beads. These beads are now rare, but more rarely are handmade beads from the time of Arava Faturan.

The first bakelite arrived in Turkey and the Middle East in the early 1900s mainly in the form of drawers and buttons and furniture handles. This coincided with when the first prayer bead made from Bakelite began to appear in the market.

Beads sculptors, especially in Turkey, quickly understood that Bakelite is a material that can be carved well, has a good appearance, and can replace amber. Every master also has his secret "recipe", even heats up various liquids and oils, and makes it through various physical or chemical processes to get the most beautiful product.

The original and original Faturan beads are mainly in shades of red or yellow. The original Faturan beads were last made in the 1940s, and production ended primarily because of the Second World War, when the supply of raw materials became very rare. The demand for the original Faturan, often confusing for amber, has always been great among the prayer gatherers, the tesbih and the komboloi. The original pre-war festival, with intact, complete, and made beads of one type of material, was considered a museum item and took a very high price both by both institutional and individual auction bidders.

Fucture of oxidation

Faturan, as a material, presents an extreme example of a common characteristic for most phenolics - surface oxidation. Most phenolics will, over time, oxidize into dark shapes from their original colors. However, Faturan has its unique characteristics always oxidize to dark red, regardless of its original color. This red color causes the material to be known as 'cherry amber' in the Middle East. If the red surface oxidation is removed, the original color of the material will be underneath.

Fantasy type

The most familiar types of folk are called resins. Swirls show a combination of more than one type of mixed and combined Faturan, for example, transparently mixed with darker colors. Most of the Ottoman Faturan is made of Faturan rods that have a vortex effect. This is called "eye damar".

Golden Fantasy

The properties found in Faturan determine their desires and values. The most valuable is gold, in the form of gold leaf, dust or metal, added when melted. Gold Faturan is used to make jewelry beads, rings, and accessories. The tribal beads are used as a dowry gift and to make necklaces and other jewelry in North Africa and Asia.

Golden Lava Flow Faturan

One of the rarest and sought after Faturan types is called Golden Lava Flow Faturan. This is a very rare mixture involving complicated and expensive methods to prepare a liquid gold combination and put it into Faturan. Like gold in liquid form when combined with Faturan, it gives the lava material that looks liquid.
