The Tucson Gem, Minerals & amp; Fossil Showcase is a show of gems and minerals that take place annually in late January and February in multiple locations throughout the city of Tucson, Arizona. Most shows are open to the public, except for certain trade shows that require registration with a business license.
The highlight of Gem, Minerals & amp; Fossil Showcase is a Tucson Gem & amp; Mineral Show produced by Tucson Gem and Mineral Society. This event has been held annually since 1955 and now occupies 181,000 square feet (16,800m 2 ) from the Tucson Convention Center. In 1973, he moved to the Tucson Community Center, first occupied the North Exhibit Hall, then expanded to the Arena and the Upper Concourse Arena. After the completion of a new facility in 1990, now called the Tucson Convention Center, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show now occupies the Arena, A-B-C Exhibition Hall, Galleria and Ballroom. Katherine Rambo estimates that between 1996 and 2010 there are an average of about thirteen hundred total sellers from forty-nine states and thirty-two countries present, every year.
