245 Park Avenue (formerly American Tobacco Company Building, American Brand Building and Bear Stearns Building ) is a 648-foot (198 m) skyscraper in New York City, New York. It was completed in 1967 and has 48 floors (1.7 million square feet). Shreve, Lamb and Harmon designed the building. The Building Owners and Managers Association awarded Pinnacle 2000/2001 to 245 Park Avenue. The site was formerly occupied by the second Grand Central Palace exhibition room, demolished in 1964 to pave the way for 245 Park Avenue.
On March 20, 2017, it was announced the Chinese conglomerate HNA Group Co., leading the deal to acquire buildings for $ 2.21 billion, one of the highest prices ever paid for the New York skyscraper.
