A gutter is the edge of the transition between the two faces of an object. Bevel shape, made at angle 45 ° to two adjacent right corner faces. Tongue lark is a gutter that ends short of a slice in a gradual upward curve, leaving the balance as a corner of the elbow. Chamfers can be formed either inside or out of the adjacent faces of an object or room. They are also used to "ease" if sharp edges, both for safety and to prevent damage to them.
Or, the fillet is rounded-off from the interior angle, and "round" (or "radius") rounding from one on the outside.
"Chamfer" is generally used in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, and in concrete formwork is poured in place. They are used in furniture such as tables and tables to ease their edges; when rounded off, instead they are bullnosed. Special tools such as gutters and gutters are used.
Chamfers are required in the manufacture of parabolic glass mirrors and are desired in certain printed circuit boards.

Architecture
Chamfer is generally used in architecture, both for functional and aesthetic reasons. The basis of the Taj Mahal is a cube with angular corners, thus creating an octagonal architectural footprint. The large gate is formed from the stone steps of the talam and the gutters are interrupted for balconies or cornices that are equivalent to the roof.
Many city blocks in Barcelona, ââValÃÆ'ència and various other cities in Spain, and street corners (curbs) in Ponce, Puerto Rico, are chamfered. Chamfering is designed as a decoration and modernization of urban space in the Eixample or Expansion District in the mid-19th century in Barcelona, ââwhere buildings follow chamfering sidewalks and streets. This pioneering design opens a wider perspective, providing a pleasant pedestrian area and allowing greater visibility when turning. It may also be considered to make it possible to be somewhat more comfortable because, it is said, the driver does not have to slow down as much as turns as it should if the corner is 90 degrees square, although in Barcelona, ââmost chamfered corners are used as parking lots or zones loading and unloading, making traffic work like a normal 90 degree street angle.

Other uses
In the glass mirror parabolic design
Beyond aesthetics, chamfering is part of the hand-crafting mirror process of parabolic glass telescopes. Before the surface of the disc can be milled, the edges must first be coated to prevent chipping. This can be done by placing the disc in a metal bowl containing silicon carbide and rotating the disc in a rocking motion. Therefore, the sand will fade the sharp edge of the glass.
In printed circuit board design (PCB)
In designing a printed circuit board (PCB), the gutter can be applied to a right angle of the conductive joint to strengthen the location. Chamfering connections can also be applied in high frequency PCB design to reduce reflection.
