Bedspreads is a piece of rectangular cloth used as a bedding, placed just below or above the occupant's bed. Bed sheets can generally be divided into two categories: "top" and "bottom" sheets.
A bottom sheet is placed on the mattress and the occupant of the bed lies on it. These can be flat sheets (extra cloth usually tucked under the mattress), or fitted sheets, sewn in a pocket-like shape to descend on the corners of the mattress, and have elastic bands around the edges. of the sheet to prevent the sheet from slipping. However, this can make it more difficult to fold when not in use.
Standard sheets in developed countries. They are easier to wash than mattresses, and when used properly it can protect the longevity of the mattress and provide better sanitation for the occupants of the bed.
The top sheet was a flat sheet of the occupants bed lying underneath. Blankets, blankets, blankets/blankets and other bed covers are placed on top sheets, but because the top sheets they do not touch the bed occupants directly.
Top sheets are standard in the US, but most Europeans prefer to use blankets. The covers are made up of two rectangles sewn together on all sides except one to make a sleeve for a blanket, which can be removed and washed. When no other blanket is put on a blanket, it can give some advantages over the top sheet. First, respecting sanitation, with the top layer of the bed occupants may accidentally in the night remove the barrier between himself and the blanket (which is less washable); with a blanket cover is not possible. Second, for a household with children, a bed with a covered duvet is easier to make: the child just needs to pull the blanket back into the corner of the bed. Slipping on a sheet before setting the blanket is an extra step. Third, replacing the blanket cover is a cheaper way to change the color scheme than buying a new blanket.
However, the top sheet has its own advantages. First, tucked up sheets can provide a comfortable feeling that blankets can not do, because blankets are usually not big enough to fit under the mattress. Secondly, the top sheet allows a wider blanket selection in addition to a blanket, such as a blanket. Bed sheets are also more easily replaced after washing, because blankets can be hard to put in a blanket. Using blankets instead of top sheets also prevents sleep users from removing blankets at night without completely covering, while the top sheet provides basic coverage without too much heat insulation.
In some Asian countries, such as China, the top sheet is not used. Flat sheets are often used in place of fitting sheets or together with them as bottom sheets. Most families prefer to use quilt covers to cover the covers.

Styles
Bed linens are available in two main varieties: flat and fitting. Flat sheets are only rectangular sheet sheets, while the fitted sheet has four corners, and sometimes two or four sides, equipped with elastic, for use only as a bottom sheet. The mounted sheet can also be secured using a non-elastic strap. The purpose of the right bottom sheet is not to slip off the mattress while the bed is being used. Certain folding and slip ways when making beds, known as "hospital angles", are sometimes used when the flat sheet is lower than installed.
Usually flat bed sheets are locked around the edges to form four stitches. One of the stitches is wider than the other three and helps orientate the sheets correctly on the mattress. Wider stitches are at the head of the mattress. Sometimes the sides do not have a connection, but finished with a woven edges only. When placing flat sheets on the bed, the manufacturer has designed the print side to softer, and thus it should be placed on the bed printed on the "bottom" side. When folding back the cover, it also allows the printed side to show, for aesthetic purposes. When a person makes a bed, the patterned side or monogram of the top sheet is placed face down and then the top edge is folded toward the foot of the bed, exposing the design.
In the US and Canada, sheets are often sold in a four-piece set consisting of fitted sheets, flat sheets and two pillowcases. In China, a set of four pieces consists of a duvet cover, two pillowcases and either a fitted or flat sheet.
Materials
Mixtures of cotton and cotton dominate the market. The most common mixtures are cotton and polyester. Cotton provides absorbency and soft hands, while polyester adds durability and wrinkle resistance. Other common fibers used in the manufacture of sheets include linen, silk, Modal and bamboo rayon, lyocell, and polypropylene. Polypropylene (olefin) is a low cost, hypoallergenic bonded material and is usually used in emergency shelters or hospitals as disposable coatings.
Construction
Quality bed sheets are often delivered by the number of threads - the number of threads per square inch of material. In general, the higher the number of threads, the softer the sheet, but the woven and the type of yarn may affect the "hand" of the material so that the sheets with lower number of threads may be softer than those with higher amounts. The quality of the yarn also plays a part in the look and feel of the sheets, because the finer threads tend to make finer fabric sheets. Layers also play a role in how heavy the sheet feels. Ply shows how much fiber is spun together as the sheet is being made. The 2 ply 300 count sheets will feel heavier than a single 600 sheet sheet.
The most common constructions are muslin, percale, saten, flannel, and knitted t-shirts. In a simple coil, the coils and feeds cross each other, and saten, has many threads (usually three or four) above, and one below.
