History

Multan has a very long tradition of leather crafts ranging from handbags, leather seats to Khussa, Kolhapuris and Jootis based in Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka & amp; Punjab. The production of this large embroidered jutsu comes from the period of King and Queen. In those days, these juttis were embroidered with original gold and silver threads and adorned with precious gems and pearls. But, with the passage of time, this was replaced by artificial materials, beads, bells etc to make it affordable for everyone. Juttis & amp; Khussas made of buffalo skin, cow or camel leather, while the top consists of leather or just textiles. The two parts are combined together with the paste and then stitched by a white cotton thread.

Khussa is called a man's closed shoe with an extended curved leg, while a juttis has a flat plane. In juttis, the rear is usually closed but Khussa has an open display from behind. Mainly produced in Multan, Rajasthan and Punjab, these juttis are flat and there is no left-right difference between them.
